Friday and combat

Yayyyyy ! It is Friday . And I am very very very sore but that is because my Les Mills combat arrived in the mail. I have decided that I am going to continue with my turbo fire workout and add combat. I started combat with my daughter on Wednesday and holy soreness I am so sore but I love it because I know that means I am changing. I can feel it when I start a combat workout. I've had an emotional experience with 2 of the workout so far it sounds weird but I have almost cried because it is so awesome I feel that this program is going to change my life. I can't wait to see the results that I am going to get from combat. I'm so excited to workout everyday because it is such a great workout.
  My house is been turned into a gym. My husband is doing body beast. My 2 younger daughters are doing Tony and the kids. I am doing turbo fire along with some combat with my daughter heaven. So so much Fitness goes on in my house with just my DVD player and my weights in resistance bands and push up bar pull up bar . I don't think I'll ever step foot into a gym to workout because I feel so awesome doing it in the privacy of my own home

Workout fire 55 is all done!! That workout is such a fun one it is so awesome...I love how Chalene is so motivating! She always keeps me moving! Drinking my shakeology and blogging..woo hoo I feel so accomplished today.  I really love turbofire ..such a great program!

bad back solutions

Well recently I have hurt my back. I don’t know what really that I did to it.  It has seriously put a wrench in my fitness goals but  I will not let this get me down! I went to a chiropractor and he said it was not with my spine and he adjusted me.  I felt a little better after that visit but not 100%. So instead of my given my money away to the chiropractor I have decided to heal myself.  I am taking what he has told me and what I already know. I have been doing a lot of steady cardio lately and my body is telling me….hey! Slow down. So this is what I shall do!

The plan~ Instead of doing cardio I will be doing yoga and foam rolling. When I do yoga I will be picking from Turbofire Stretch 40, P90x Yoga or p90x2 yoga.  The foam rolling is from P90x2 and I would recommend this program for anyone that is sore and needs your body to function better! Really when I do this video I feel so much better is is amazing!  Stretch 40p90x2-recovery-mobilityp90x yoga

I also have decided to use the heating pad after my workouts so that I help whatever that is tight in my back to work itself out. I remember a time when my back went out when I was a bigger girl and I would just basically give up. Stop doing anything and eat too much because I was depressed. But with my new life I need to be active! I need to not let my emotions send me to the cookie jar or the Halloween candy stash. I want to be strong about my decisions!

Tracking my diet is going to be key in this as well because I wont be burning as many calories as I would with the cardio I was doing. So I have to lower my calorie intake…this will be hard but I can do it and I need to be strong! I will Be Strong When I am WEAK Brave when I a am SCARED and HUMBLE when I a am Victorious!

Update on me

Well my back is still out of whack slightly. I visited a chiropractor and he said do light workouts and yoga. So starting tomorrow I will be doing daily yoga sessions along with recovery and mobility and light jogging. I really need to get my back worked out.  I will be incorporating core workouts and back strengtheners. I have been feeling really weak lately and I really need to stop that. I am strong and I can do this. My back will heal. I just need to take care of it.

Lazy Saturday?? Heck no

Today I got to sleep in...Ohh it felt so good. I procrastinated most of the day. Didn't get much done. Was almost a lazy Saturday.  Then I decided I needed too get my workouts in.  I did p90X2 pap upper. I know I improved on some of the moves like the superman and the plank on med ball. I am getting stronger. Ohh yeah...that marks the first week of the third phase all done! I always do two workouts. So the next workout was Turbofire fire 30. I wore my 2 lb weighted gloves. I love it. 

Dinner tonight was lean beef mushroom stroganoff. Ohh wow it was so so amazing. I made it entirely from scratch. My daughter even said... Mom you can never buy the box stuff again.  I never intend too!

Hate to run when its cold

Well its like almost officially the cold season. I am so not looking forward to this. But I live in Ohio so i need to get used to it i guess. Time to break out the hoodies, sweatshirts, pants and leggings.  I am gonna try  not to be such a big baby about running in the cold. Today i am supposed to go for a run and i am already thinking of ways not to.  Well i need to stop that. Really i know that once i get out there i am going to be just fine and i am going to love it. Why because i want to succeed! I want my diet and my workouts to actually make a difference on my body!  The only way to achieve this is by getting it done and not being a baby about it! I will feel better when i am done!

Well I did it I ran 10 miles in one hour and 18 minutes..and i did awesome...i was right..after i got out into the air and started to warm up i was completely fine. I really love when people crane their neck to watch me run lol it makes me run even faster now

I feel so much better now. I am ready to take on my day and i can be more calm about it.  Working out is my drug of choice! When i am out on the open road with nothing else but the music in my ears and the beat of my feet on the pavement it is a feeling like no other...especially when the right song comes on at the right time. I have not ran 10 miles in a very long was nice to get out and just let myself run at a comfortable pace.  I only stopped running because i had hit my calorie burn for the day and my legs were starting to scream at me! Ohh yeah now it is time to refuel with the healthiest meal of the day shakeology! I am gonna mix mine today with one frozen banana, one whole peach, a lil coconut extract, ice and a half cup of milk and some water and of course a scoop of the awesome shakeology of course!

Turbofire day 2 woo hoo

Well I feel amazing I have finally broken into the 150's woo hoo...I keep getting closer to my goal.  I will keep fitness in my life...there is no turning back. I have kept up with the workouts and my healthy eating...and its paying off.  Day 2 of turbofire Ohh yeah all done...and day 3 of phase 3 x2....I finished just in time to go to Stormy andSaphyr's open house at was really cute watching them share the stuff that they did at school...we ran around the school checking out all the things...was quite interesting to say the least. I love my beautiful babies Heaven, Stormy and Saphyr

Great healthy weekend

Well this weekend was amazing. I stayed on track. I didn't mess up on my diet...I kept to my workouts even though at times I really didn't want to. On Saturday I danced for 2 hours. Then in the evening I ran 3.3 miles in 23 mins 37 seconds. This is the fastest time that i have ran a 5 k..i am trying to get my time under 2 mins...I know I can do it...just gotta keep up with my training.  Sunday I started p90x2 phase 3 P.A.P. lower and wow I forgot how much of a workout that was its gonna be exciting to see what happens with this. Tomorrow I am starting turbofire...Ohh yeah I am so looking forward to the fun I will be having with this awesome workout.  Nothing is more fun than turbofire!
On Saturday night I planned out my entire week of workouts I plan on making the end of the year super successful for me.  I will reach my goals. I am determined to do it! I know I can!

Yogax2 for the 3rd time this week…..

Well I survived! I think. Lol I did yogax2 3 times this week for the recovery week for p90x2. My lesson today is don’t smash your face

I also went for a super fun run! I really love running now.. I really never thought I would say that ever. but now I do! I was almost late to pick up my lil ones from the bus stop because I ran a lil late on getting my yoga in… but I completed both…and I feel soo good that I did….this completes the recovery week for me. I am ready to start phase 3 of p90x2 and I am ready to start some turbofire! My diet has been really on track…I am not gonna let myself back pedal anymore…diet is 80% of the equation. tonight I made chicken parmesean from it was soo tastey and soo good for me297802_259553770832389_1227681480_n


Doesn’t it look good…the whole plate was under 600 calories…and baked not fried! I also had a freakin amazing shakeology today…with watermelon, banana, blueberries and almonds…it was sooo refreshing after both of my workouts!  Ohhh yeah im gonna keep myself on track with my workouts and my nutrition! I feel great tonight..gonna get to bed just a bit earlier so I get great sleep…I have an important phone call in the morning!

I worked really hard for it and I am excited that it came today!  I also did about an hour of dancing with my girls..was totally soo much fun! I am getting super excited  about the upcoming turbofire challenge group..I am sooo excited to do turbofire omg it’s the most fun that you can have while you are sweating! 

  On the nutrition side I did really well with my choices for the day..even tried something new which included stuffing Tuna into a tomato..ohh yeah that was amazing…im not sure my husband would have said the same thing…but I loved it.

September 11th we will never forget

Today is September most people I will never forget what I was doing that day when I seen what was happening across the country that day.  I was at the court house paying on my fines and I watched the other plane hit the tower! 



Today I am getting my workouts out of the way first…this and my blogging..I seem to procrastinate about blogging more than doing the actual workouts.  Well today is P90x2 yogax2 and Turbofire fire 60.  I love both of these workouts so it shouldn’t be too hard to get them done.  I have already decided today I am gonna get some major stuff accomplished! Starting early so that I can maybe focus on some downtime later on. Well I cant sit her blogging and get stuff off I go to get stuff done wish me luck!

yayy I set a PR in my running!

Wow today I set out on my run. I made sure that the gps  was ready and booted up and I ran..I went 5 miles today in 29 mins wow I was running 6 min miles..I have never ran that fast ever  in my life. I am so excited about my progress..this is extremely fast for me! I have to thank insanity for my speed. I just finished my fourth round. It really never gets easier! I just get better. This week I am going to focus on some recovery and doing what I feel! I am doing the p90x2 recovery week..that’s 3 days of yoga…tomorrow will be my 2nd…and then some dancing! I plan on starting turbofire here on the 17th with my 4 lb weighted gloves I am so excited.  This month is just a worldwind of firsts for me… I just recently received my emerald pin for becoming and emerald coach! yayyy me! I am also being featured in First for Women Magazine from my over 150 +lbs weight loss! I plan on making new goals and and making a plan to accomplish these goals

Here I am again with a lil update!

Well I have started and insanity group with some people and tomorrow is the 2nd fit test. I never think that my numbers will go up but they usually do. I ran a 5k today and I feel I did great I placed 81st overall..I was 18 this female to cross the line and 4th in my age group with a time of 24 mins 56 seconds which is a great time but I would love to be so much faster….



all I know is as soon as I was done with the race I started planning what I could do to make myself faster…I have been sticking to my workouts but..I have had a couple of slip ups with my diet…I did do doubles all last year…so to kick up my workouts a notch I am going to start p90x2


tomorrow…yeah I know it will be hard but the results will be worth it and I believe that I can do it. I am making  one day a week for a run day for me…so I can see if I am improving in anyway. I am excited to show everyone that I can do this…but those of you that know me know that I will not take anything but the best!

Starting in August I am also going to be doing the push Challenge so that I can regain control of my life..I feel like that when one area of my life is going good then another is I am taking the push challenge so that I can get help organizing and prioritizing what needs to be done in my life for me to be successful…big things are gonna be happening for me!

ohh boy I found my neglected blog

So yeah I have neglected to write in here for a long time.  My friend Jason had his girls up from Alabama and we did a lot of outdoors stuff. We also trained for the star spangle spectacular 5k. We all ran together. Mary and I ran side by side the entire way! It was really great to have someone to run next to that I knew! My daughter Heaven Leigh also had a running partner Marys sister Maria…they both finished Heaven in 40 mins and Maria in 41 and a half. The race was a sweltering 85 degrees so the fact that we all finished was awesome!

and here she is at the end of the race…still so a proud mama.  I ended up taking 3rd in my age group…I feel extremely luck to have accomplished this.  I am now refocused on my fitness and my girls and I are training for another race…the run to the 5 and 6 year old wanna run the one mile fun run.  Stormy actually ran a mile in 11 mins the other day. shes such a determined little girl.  Heaven wants to improve on her time so she is doing insanity with me but at her own pace. Both storm and Heaven did the fit test my girls ft test and so did ifittest (1). Stormy decided she didn’t wanna do day 2 but Heaven and I are continuing on.  We are all set to run one mile tonight at the track to train for there fun run. This will be sassys first time running..I cant wait to see how she is going to do…I will try to remember to keep this updated as Heaven and I will be continuing insanity and I may throw in some p90x2 because I can!

my story

Hello my name is Crystal Hancock and I am a coach. I have been married for 6 years and I have 3 wonderful little girls Heaven, Stormy and Saphyr! I started out on my weightloss journey in 07 when I gave birth to my daughter Saphyr and realized I weighed 315 lbs I was disgusted and mortified. I had let myself go too far! In the beginning I would run back and forth in my own home for an hour a day 6 days a week…I was too embarrassed to actually run outside being that I was so big. When you are big you don’t want anyone to see you sweat. I was losing weight that way but it was hard! I got down to 275 and I was introduced to p90x by a friend of mine. He said that it was really hard but it was a great program. So I decided to order it for myself to try. I got mine and started and did my best and forgot the rest. My friend didn’t make it past the first month. This made me want to succeed even more. I put myself in a silent competition with this guy because I wanted to prove that I was strong and I could do it! I also added one hour of biking everyday to my p90x. I finished that round in sept of 09 and I had lost 100 lbs! I was so proud of myself I had conquered the beast p90x! after that I had many missed attempts to start a new round. I spent a whole year..enjoying my new body. Then last year I decided it was time for me to reach my goal and I set out to reach my goals. In 2011 I started a round of p90x and I did insanity at the same time..finished 2 rounds of insanity and went on to conquer the asylum..yes I finished that too…I ended the year out with turbofire and became addicted with that too! Yes I am addicted to beachbody and I love that it has given me back my life and I am happy to help others achieve there goals…I have never had a more rewarding and fulfilling job! I am currently going p90x2… my journey continues!

This is the first time that i am writing in my blog...i want this to be an accurate portrayal of my life now that i am healthier...everyday i go through certain thing inside my mind...i always wanna revert back to my old ways and just be lazy and not do anything...but i have goals that i wanna reach so i must stay is hard to when my scale decides it doesnt wanna move...i need to find different ways to measure my success besides the scale because it does not always tell the correct story...i have measured myself and i am fitting into my size 10' i should be happy with weight is stuck at 162.6 and i am one week away from moving on to phase 3 of p90x2...i cant wait till i finish this program so i can get my super cool t-shirt! My husband is doing this program too so we keep eachother accountable on a daily basis.....I love being a coach and helping others to get to there goals..when they succeed i get the best feeling ever
